Doctor Dies in Elevator Mishap
Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a 39-year-old doctor lost his life after being crushed by an elevator at an apartment complex in Sri Krishna Nagar, Qutbullapur. The accident occurred while the doctor was attempting to retrieve a cricket ball from the lift pit.
According to the news reports, the fatal accident happened when the elevator was accidentally activated while the doctor was in the pit. The lift descended onto him, causing severe head injuries that resulted in his instant death.
Following an alert about the incident, the Suraram police arrived promptly and have launched an investigation to determine how the lift became operational during the retrieval attempt and whether there was any negligence involved.

These back-to-back tragedies have raised serious questions about the safety standards, maintenance protocols, and regulatory oversight of elevators in the city’s rapidly expanding residential complexes.

Medical dialogues had previously reported that a promising young woman doctor tragically lost her life after being struck by a speeding train at Malakpet Railway Station. The deceased was identified as a 26-year-old woman from Chanchalguda. According to the Government Railway Police (GRP) from Kacheguda, the doctor was attempting to cross between Platform No.1 and Platform No.2 when she was hit by the speeding train. The collision resulted in severe injuries, and she succumbed to her wounds on the spot, suffering from extensive bleeding.
