Hyderabad Gynaecologist attempts suicide over harassment by Husband, In-laws
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman doctor in Hyderabad attempted suicide due to alleged harassment by her husband and in-laws. She recorded a distressing video detailing the severe emotional and physical suffering she had been enduring at the hands of her family. Her heartbreaking video has triggered widespread outrage on social media, with netizens demanding swift justice.
The 32-year-old gynaecologist currently employed at Fernandez Hospital has been married to a software professional, since 2018. The couple initially resided in the United States but returned to Hyderabad in 2021, settling in the Champapet Press Colony. They have a four-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve their marital conflicts, including interventions at the Saroornagar police station, the couple's issues only deepened over time. Matters took a grave turn when her husband moved out, leaving her alone with her daughter and mother. During this period, the harassment from her in-laws reportedly intensified, subjecting her to frequent arguments and emotional torment.

As per the recent media report by India Today, authorities have launched an investigation into the matter, and the case is being closely monitored. The police are working to gather all the details surrounding the incident and have yet to confirm whether a formal complaint has been filed.

Following the incident, her family is now demanding strict legal action against her in-laws and other relatives allegedly involved in the harassment. They gathered outside the Saroornagar police station to protest.
