Acting on credible information, police conducted a decoy operation in which a head constable, dressed in plain clothes, approached the accused posing as a patient. Police said the team raided the premises while the accused was allegedly attempting to administer an injection to the undercover officer and caught him red-handed, reports The Siasat.
Authorities further stated that during questioning, the accused reportedly admitted to administering injections such as Diclofenac and Tetanus Toxoid (TT) without any valid prescription or medical supervision.
Based on his confession, police seized Diclofenac and TT injection vials stocked illegally at the premises along with a Samsung mobile phone allegedly used for business transactions, reports UNI.
A criminal case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to determine the extent of illegal medical practices and whether more individuals were involved.
As per Telangana Tribune, the incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of patients who may have received treatment from the fake doctor over the past year. The police are working to identify individuals who may have been treated by the accused during his illegal practice. The unauthorized administration of injections and medicines without proper medical knowledge could have led to serious health complications or even fatal consequences for unsuspecting patients.
