According to the news reports, the fake doctor was allegedly running a private facility named Anshu Clinic from a rented house, despite lacking recognised medical qualifications.

Speaking to TOI, the victim’s wife said, “We called the practitioner after Keshar complained of vomiting and loose motion late Sunday night. He gave three injections and five tablets to my husband without examining him. But soon after, Keshar started itching his body and became restless. The accused told us not to panic and left. My husband died within minutes after he left.” The family has accused the practitioner of gross negligence and rash treatment.
Local residents claimed that the accused had been operating the clinic for some time without proper medical credentials. Villagers said that in remote rural areas, informal practitioners often become the first point of contact for healthcare due to the absence of nearby hospitals, poor transport facilities, and a lack of doctors, especially during the night.
Officer-in-charge of the Kunda Community Health Centre, Kumar Sanjeev, confirmed that a formal inquiry has been initiated. “A probe will be conducted, and strict action will be taken against the accused if he is found guilty,” he said, reports News Karnataka.
The incident has highlighted the persistent problem of unlicensed medical practice in rural Jharkhand. Public health experts have warned that injections administered without diagnosis or emergency preparedness can trigger severe allergic reactions, including anaphylactic shock, which can be fatal within minutes.

Residents of Chiloi and nearby villages have demanded stricter monitoring of illegal clinics and improved availability of qualified doctors and emergency healthcare services in rural blocks to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
