Fake doctor arrested, medicines and equipment seized in Rajkot

Fake Doctor
Rajkot: In a move to curb illegal medical practices and safeguard public health, the Rajkot District Special Operations Group (SOG) has raided Khodpipar village in Paddhari taluka and arrested a bogus doctor.
The action was initiated following a tip-off received by the police regarding an individual allegedly running an unauthorised medical practice in the village. Acting swiftly on the specific information, the SOG team conducted a raid at the location and arrested the accused.

The police have also seized a large quantity of medicines and other medical equipment from this bogus doctor, who is seriously compromising the health of the people. Legal action has been taken against the bogus doctor by the district SOG, reports the Sandesh.
This is not the first such arrest in Rajkot. Earlier this year, two quacks were apprehended for operating illegal clinics—one with only a class 10 qualification and another with a homoeopathic degree. During those raids, police recovered medical equipment, drugs, and injections valued at over Rs 32,000.
