The doctor said he has been subjected to harassment for the past 10–11 months, which has reportedly increased every day. He expressed fear that if the situation continues, he may be pushed to take an extreme step of ending his life.
In a written complaint submitted to the college administration on January 24, the junior doctor alleged that he is being humiliated daily, verbally abused, and put under unnecessary pressure by the senior professor. He claimed that he is often scolded in front of patients and hospital staff, causing severe mental stress.

Giving examples, the doctor said the professor suddenly orders him to prepare admission papers immediately and then scolds him. He is also instructed to arrange urgent MRI scans, and when the scans do not take place, he is again shouted at, made to stand for long periods, and forced to do work under pressure.
The doctor further alleged that he has been threatened and intimidated repeatedly, and abusive language has been used against him without any reason. Even small mistakes, he said, are met with harsh reactions and warnings.
"He has even threatened me physically. About 10–15 minutes ago, he again threatened me in the name of the Principal. Every time he puts pressure on the junior doctors and speaks harshly, saying “It will be seen later” and uses abusive language without any reason. He says many such things to me," said the doctor in the complaint letter.
Stating that he comes to the hospital to learn and serve patients, the junior doctor said such treatment has badly affected his mental health. He also pointed out that there have been no complaints against him from patients or staff and that other senior doctors do not behave with him in the same way as the professor.
"If in the future anything untoward happens to me, or if I take any extreme step, then the Principal Sir Dr ***, Principal and Controller, and JLN Hospital (Administration) will be fully responsible. Despite doing so much work, I am being mentally harassed on a daily basis, and because of this, I feel that I may take an extreme step. The respected Principal Sir does not realise how much mental torture I am being subjected to," he further wrote in the complaint.
He also expressed fear that false complaints could be filed against him or that patients and their attendants could be used to harass him further. According to him, the professor can harass him mentally and physically, as senior doctors in the department support the professor.
Reacting to the incident, the All FMGs Association (AFA) raised concerns on the social media platform X. In its post, the association said that the allegations by a resident doctor at JLN Medical College, Ajmer, highlight serious concerns about the mental health of doctors working in government hospitals. The association urged Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar to look into the matter seriously.
