Lok Nayak hospital doctor found dead, syringe recovered

According to the police, the body was found lying near a power house. Upon receiving information, they immediately rushed to the spot and sent the body for a post-mortem.

As per a media report in the TOI, the Police found a syringe, a needle and a cannula near the body of the doctor, making the circumstances appear suspicious. His family alleged he was murdered.   

Baghpat Superintendent of Police (SP) Suraj Kumar Rai said that no injury marks were found on the body, and the matter is being investigated.  

Speaking to TOI, the deceased uncle, Ali, said Parvez was en route to his home in Baghpat. "He hired a taxi from Delhi and reached the Kotana area in Baghpat at around 9.30pm on Friday. He even called his family to say he would be home soon. We don't know what happened. His eyeglasses were intact, and his money — Rs 5,000 — was still in his wallet. It is not a normal death, and murder cannot be ruled out. We want a thorough investigation.

The family members suspected that the doctor had been murdered. They had initially refused to conduct a post-mortem. However, they later agreed after police assured swift action, reports PTI.
