Medanta Doctor Suicide: Spouse, siblings booked for abetment
Gurugram: Following the incident of the alleged suicide committed by a liver transplant surgeon attached to Medanat Hospital, the police have now booked his wife, who is also a doctor, and two of her sisters for instigating the suicide.
This came after the victim's father filed a complaint against the accused under the charges of abetment, stating that the accused were mentally harassing the doctor.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the 39-year-old doctor was dealing with a separation. The couple had filed a mutual divorce petition in a local court. On September 1, they had to attend their first court hearing. As per the officials, just before taking the drastic step, the medical practitioner had a conversation with his wife over the phone, where he allegedly informed her that he was going to commit suicide by jumping off from the window.
Meanwhile, the police also found a note supposedly written by the deceased doctor where he clearly stated that no one should be made responsible for his action.
