Newborn dies after C-section: Doctor accused of medical negligence, booked

Bengaluru: A doctor from KC General Hospital is facing charges of alleged medical negligence after a newborn passed away due to a delayed caesarean procedure.
According to the family members, the doctor intentionally postponed the procedure in order to perform a normal delivery. However, due to complications that arose later, the doctor ultimately decided to perform a C-section, as previously suggested by the family members.
Apart from this, the family members also accused the doctor of demanding a bribe. Therefore, in response to the accusations, the Malleshwaram police registered an FIR and booked the doctor on Monday. However, no arrest has been made so far.

As per a country and politics news report, the incident pertains to a patient from Chokkasandra who was pregnant and was admitted to the hospital for delivery after a full-term pregnancy on Sunday. As the delivery time came near, the family members of the woman asked for a C-section. However, the doctor insisted on normal delivery, they alleged.
