Quack caught practising at Hyderabad Hospital, Telangana Medical Council files complaint

Following the discovery, the TSMC filed a complaint at the Miyapur police station. An FIR has now been registered, and the council is waiting for further action from the police.

After receiving the complaint, Ankura Hospital carried out its inquiry through the HR department and immediately terminated Bharat Kumar from his job. The hospital said in a press release that it is fully cooperating with the police and the medical council.

“We are fully cooperating with the authorities and will continue to take all necessary steps to support the TMC and Police Department. Ankura Hospital is a responsible and committed healthcare institution that upholds the highest standards of patient safety, ethics, and professional conduct. We follow a stringent protocol and multi-stage verification process for all medical appointments. Patient care and trust are of utmost importance to us,” the hospital said in a press release on Monday, as reported by Telangana Today. 

The TS Medical Council urged all private hospitals, nursing homes and super-speciality hospitals to verify the credentials of doctors before employing them in their hospitals.

Council Chairman, Dr K Mahesh Kumar and Registrar, Dr Dhandem Lalaiah Kumar said, "The details of doctors can be verified on the website www.onlinetsmsc.in (under Doctors Search option)."
