Rajasthan: 625 Specialist Doctors get deployment at Hospitals attached to Medical Colleges
Jaipur: For the first time, around 625 specialist doctors have been allocated hospitals which are attached to the medical colleges where they are undergoing their training and would be deployed soon after passing out. The deployment would take place according to the bond condition that they had signed before taking admission in the specialised courses.
According to the medical education department, the doctors have been posted according to the existing strength of doctors. As per the condition of the bond they had signed, the 625 doctors would remain posted for two years.
Around sixty-three doctors, which is the highest number of doctors who will be deployed in compliance with the bond condition, have specialization in general surgery. After that, fifty doctors have done their specialization in general medicine. Further, there are forty-four doctors, who have completed a specialization in radiodiagnosis in 2022 and have been allocated the hospital where they will be posted for the next two years.
According to an official from the medical education department, guidelines were issued by the department on the bond which the students were required to sign before joining the specialization or PG courses in medical colleges run by the government, reports the Times of India.
The hometown of Chief minister Ashok Gehlot got 134 doctors, which is the highest in the state. Forty-seven of them were posted at the SMS Medical College. The doctors would work as senior resident doctors for the next two years which would help in strengthening healthcare services across the state.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported about a new rule for the appointment of MBBS doctors in Punjab where instead of government hospitals, the MBBS graduates who would complete their studies in Government medical colleges in Punjab would be able to get posted at the Mohalla Clinics. The new policy was conceptualized by the State Government, which recently dedicated 75 'Aam Aadmi Clinics' to the people of the State to mark 75 years of India's independence.
