RIMS Srikakulam female surgeon accuses Assistant Professor of sexual harassment, files complaint

Srikakulam: In a shocking incident, a female house surgeon at the Government Medical College Hospital, Srikakulam also known as RIMS (Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences) has come forward with allegations of sexual harassment against an Assistant Professor at the institute.
Demanding action against the assistant professor, the surgeon filed a complaint with the Director of Medical Education (DME) and it was registered on Friday. The assistant professor is currently on leave as a probe has been ordered against him concerning the allegations.
It came to light that the house surgeon, who had been subjected to alleged harassment by the assistant professor, had previously reported these cases to the officials at RIMS. However, no appropriate measures were taken by the authorities to address the situation effectively. Following this, the professor allegedly continued with his harassment.
