Solapur Neurologist Suicide: 27 employees file complaints against Admin officer
Kolhapur: The arrested administrative officer of S P Institute of Neurosciences, currently in police custody for allegedly abetting the suicide of renowned neurologist Dr. Shirish Walsangkar, was found to have significant control over the hospital’s daily operations. Her behaviour raised serious concerns, prompting 27 employees to file complaints against her.
This information was presented in a remand report submitted by the police before Chief Judge Vijaysinha Bhandari's court in the afternoon. The police requested an additional three days of custody, stating that further investigation could uncover more details and evidence.

According to a latest media report by TOI, the accused had been in police custody for three days, which ended on Wednesday. She was brought before Chief Judge Vijaysinha Bhandari’s court, where the police requested a three-day extension of her remand. However, the court granted only a two-day extension.
According to the police, the remand extension was requested based on ten points. Inspector Ajit Lakade, the investigating officer, informed the court that the accused had authority over the hospital's daily operations, and 27 staff members had filed complaints regarding her behaviour.
