Tripura doctor arrested for allegedly raping nurse on pretext of marriage
Agartala: A Tripura-based doctor has been arrested for allegedly raping and cheating a nurse on the pretext of marriage at Teliamura in Tripura's Khowai district.
According to the complainant, this happened when the nurse refused to involve in a sexual relationship with the accused and the latter allegedly raped her.
The accused has been identified as a 32-year-old doctor working at a government hospital in Teliamura, Tripura. The duo began dating each other after meeting on several occasions.
Later, the nurse who hails from Agartala and the accused agreed to be in a romantic relationship. Although their relationship lasted nearly six months, things started to take a turn when the accused demanded a sexual relationship from her.

As per the nurse claims, this is not the first time the accused had put forward such a demand. In the beginning, she refused to involve in a physical relationship with him but ultimately gave in when the accused promised to marry her.
