The person riding the motorcycle stops it in front of the car, forcing the doctor to stop his car. The incident occurred on a busy road where other vehicles could also be seen. The video shows the dog moving from one side of the car to the other as it was tied to a long rope putting its life in danger, reports NDTV.

Some people living in the area gathered around the doctor's car and unchained the dog. Some people informed an NGO whose members took the dog to a hospital.

The police booked a case against the driver on the complaint of Bharatiya Janata Party leader and animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi. According to Shastri Nagar SHO Jogendra Singh, an FIR was registered against the doctor, Rajneesh Galwa of MDM Hospital, under Section 428 of IPC and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Singh said, "We have seized the doctor's vehicle."

On the other hand, the principal of SN Medical College, Dilip Kachhwaha, has given a show cause notice to the accused doctor and sought a response within 24 hours. Pukar Animal NGO has also registered a case at Shastrinagar police station following the case.

The video was shot in Rajasthan's Jodhpur on Sunday, as per the reports. Aparna Bissa of the NGO said that Dr. Rajneesh Galwa is an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at MGH.

"The person who did this is a Dr. Rajneesh Gwala, and the dog's legs have multiple fractures, and this incident is of Shastri Nagar Jodhpur. Please spread this video so that CP Jodhpur should take action against him and cancel his license," reads the tweet of the NGO Dog Home Foundation, which carries the video. The NGO also posted a picture of the copy of the FIR registered by the police on its complaint under the Animal Cruelty Act.

The caretaker at the shelter told the Times of India, "Police took the ambulance to the police station unnecessarily and kept it there for over an hour despite our request to release the injured dog for treatment. Police acted under the doctor's influence and an FIR was lodged after two hours."

On the information, the dog home workers reached the spot and sent the dog for treatment. Some people alleged that when they tried to stop the doctor's car, he tried to hit them with the vehicle. Meanwhile, the doctor said that the dog often enters the house and keeps barking outside the house, and that is why he was going to leave the dog in the corporation's enclosure.

The incident has caused a lot of outrage among Twitter users. A user reportedly wrote, "How can Dr be so merciless, shameful." Meanwhile, some other users called the doctor heartless and demanded the state government cancel his license.
