125-bed hospital to come up in Budgam at cost of Rs. 49.32 Crore
Srinagar: Administrative Council (AC) of Union Territory accorded the approval to the construction of a hospital in Jammu Kashmir's Budgam district.
The AC which met here under the chairmanship of the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, accorded Administrative Approval to the construction of a 125-bed hospital at Reshipora, an official spokesman said.

Upon completion of the hospital at an estimated cost of Rs. 49.32 Crore, it is expected to improve access to quality healthcare for the people of the area.
The upcoming hospital besides enhancing healthcare for the public will also provide for employment opportunities to skilled/unskilled professionals, medics/ paramedics etc.
The hospital will also help address increased patient rush and is expected to benefit a large chunk of the population living in and around district Budgam.
Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor; Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, J&K and Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor attended the meeting.

Sinha was addressing a function after virtually inaugurating from the Raj Bhavan a Rotary India medical camp, jointly organised with the health department, in Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama and Kulgam districts of south Kashmir. The camp will focus on ophthalmology, general and laparoscopic surgeries, ENT and cancer surgeries, gynaecology, orthopaedics, paediatric and plastic surgery.
Sinha expressed gratitude and admiration for the doctors and the nursing community for their selfless service. Rotary India is a symbol of selflessness and, in coordination with 450 health department staff, they aim to contribute in the overall well-being of the common man, he said.
