Apollo Clinic secures NABH certification for its clinics in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Apollo Clinic, one of the leading chains of multi-speciality clinics in India has set a new benchmark by achieving NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers) recertification for Allopathic Clinic Standard. Its center in Koramangala became the 1st clinic in Karnataka to receive this recognition.

In February 2024, the Koramangala clinic successfully completed its NABH renewal assessment as part of the 2nd cycle accreditation, securing re-accreditation under the Allopathic Clinic Standards, Edition-1. Beyond maintaining NABH accreditation, Apollo Clinics are committed to continuous quality improvement and patient safety through several key initiatives, including:

• Quality for Excellence (Q4E) program that focuses on continuous monitoring and enhancement of both clinical and non-clinical processes & improving clinical outcomes

• Routine safety and facility audits to ensure a secure environment and proactively address potential risks

• Implementation and monitoring of strong infection prevention & control and medication safety protocols to minimize risks for our patients

Some of the other key initiatives taken up by the clinic that led to the qualification included iQMS (Innovative Queue Management systems) implemented for process streamlining & visibility for the patients, OTP-based online feedback collection from patients to ensure authenticity and confidentiality, Prohealth program (AI-based system) and Home Collection Sample services. Other unique initiatives that the center has implemented includes the following:

• Lab reports being delivered through Registered SMS/Emails which are synchronized with the Prohealth portal

• Health Check-up reports for corporate patients being uploaded on the E-Doc 2.0 portal for accessibility & visibility of medical records

• Online incident reporting portal

• Automated quality indicators dashboard

• Annual Quality Calendar with month-wise detailed plan of all the quality activities

This is the second NABH accreditation received by Apollo Clinic nationwide, following the first recognition for their Anna Nagar center in Chennai. Apollo Clinic provides superior quality health care services and addresses the day-to-day health care needs of the entire family.

The NABH accreditation is awarded after a rigorous assessment of healthcare facilities, evaluating various aspects such as patient care, infrastructure, and operational procedures.
