Bhopal: Considering that many private hospitals in the state failed to comply with the new rules, Ayushman Bharat Yojana de-empanelled 36 such hospitals in Madhya Pradesh for not fulfilling parameters as per new general medicine (GM) rules.

According to the Ayushman authorities, these hospitals have failed to acquire one of the following options provided in the new rule, i.e., each private hospital in the state should have either accreditation of the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) or over 50 beds to secure empanelment under Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

Due to some hospitals being unable to follow the rules, the authorities decided to take action against 36 hospitals, excluding single-specialty hospitals like Eye and ENT. However, more are expected to be added to the list in the coming days.
