Batra Hospital signs MoU with BAPIO Training Academy to attain excellence in patient care
New Delhi: On National Doctor's Day, the Batra Hospital, New Delhi has entered into an MoU with the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin Training Academy (BAPIO TA), UK to transform their Department of Emergency Medicine into a Centre for Excellence and attain higher standards of patient care.
BAPIO Training Academy shall work with the Department of Emergency Medicine at Batra Hospital in the areas of Faculty Development, Training of Junior Residents and Medical Officers, Development of Standard Treatment Guidelines / Protocols, Training of Allied Health Professionals, Strengthening Pre Hospital Care framework and services, Strengthen Standards of Service Delivery by clinical governance / Quality Improvement and Joint Participation in Research, Academic Activities and Quality Initiatives by all specialists and junior doctors.

The MoU was signed at Batra Hospital by Dr Bipin Batra, Chair of the Accreditation Panel, BTA and Dr Amiya Verma, Medical Superintendent. Dr Bipin Batra stated that the partnership of Batra Hospital and BTA is aimed to attain excellence through evidence-based effective and efficient healthcare through Global Partnerships.
Dr Batra further stated that we dedicate this partnership to the selfless service of Doctors and other healthcare workers on National Doctors Day.
As part of the initiative BTA, UK shall extend the knowledge, skills and hand-holding support over a 3 years period to Batra Hospital for excellence in Emergency Medicine. This project is being executed by the BAPIO as part of its social commitment to the Indian healthcare ecosystem.
Dr Ramesh Mehta, President BAPIO was recently awarded the Commander of British Empire (CBE), Highest Civilian Honor for his contribution to the cause of equality and diversity.
Dr Parag Singhal, BTA Executive Director stated that the knowledge exchange and service impact shall help in achieving excellence in patient care in line with global standards.
