Cancer prevention clinic opens at Kolkata Police Hospital
The clinic will conduct screenings for the three most common forms of cancer i.e., breast, cervical, and oral cancer.;
Kolkata: Taking a step forward towards providing advanced cancer treatments to the patients, West Bengal has finally fulfilled its aim to launch a cancer prevention clinic at Kolkata Police Hospital in Bhowanipore.
Now, with the introduction of new technologies and advanced cancer treatments, patients get top-notch treatments at the centres established by the government.
In collaboration with the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) Mumbai, the state government has inaugurated the clinic at the hospital. The clinic will conduct screenings for the three most common forms of cancer i.e., breast, cervical, and oral cancer.

Observing that the citizens of Kolkata usually visit Mumbai in order to receive better cancer treatments, the state government has assured to provide the state with the same quality treatment here.
In order to provide the same quality of cancer treatments here, the government selected a team of doctors, nurses and technologists who were sent to TMC, Mumbai to complete the training course and head back to Kolkata. As a result, the trained medical personnel will run the clinic providing the same top-notch cancer treatments to the patients.
