CM Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurates Apollo Cancer Centre At Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has inaugurated the Apollo Cancer Centre (ACC) in Visakhapatnam.

With the need to treat the growing number of cancer cases, Apollo Hospitals, Visakhapatnam, has built the state-of-the-art Cancer Centre on the same premises with a built-up area of 54,000 sq ft. It is the first and only cancer centre in Andhra Pradesh to be equipped with True Beam STx technology.

Apollo Cancer Centre was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, State of Andhra Pradesh; in the presence of Smt Vidadala Rajini, Hon’ble Minister Health and Family Welfare, Andhra Pradesh; Education Minister Shri Botsa Satya Narayana; IT Minister Shri Gudivada Amarnath; Dr Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.; and Dr Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.

The Centre is equipped with Andhra Pradesh’s first and only cutting-edge Linear Accelerator (True Beam STx) technology and, internationally acclaimed oncologists in all specialities. The True Beam STx which is the most advanced Linear Accelerator radiation machine offers the most precise radiation therapy treatment for a better outcome. The centre also has a sophisticated HDR GAMMAMED Brachytherapy.

It is a major referral centre for cancer for the people of Andhra Pradesh and the neighbouring states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and parts of West Bengal. Apollo Cancer Centre has organ-specific cancer management teams delivering exceptional clinical outcomes.
