Doctor shortage at UCMS amid COVID crisis: Faculty writes to HRD Ministry, Delhi LG, DDMA

New Delhi: Concerned with the shortage of Doctors in University College Of Medical Sciences (UCMS), the medical faculty of the institute has moved the HRD Ministry, DDMA and Delhi LG for urgent intervention in the matter.
The doctors have blamed the delay in recruitment and promotions for the shortfall of doctors in the medical institute.
In their letter to the Human Resource and Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, Chairman at Delhi Disaster Management Authority and Delhi lieutenant Governor, the medical college's teachers association tried to bring the authorities attention to the shortfall of more than 200 doctors (-100 faculty and 100 Senior Residents) in UCMS which is associated with COVID designated GTB hospital in east Delhi.
