Holy Family Hospital Firing Case: Delhi Court grants bail to Jamia student
Countering the bail plea on the ground that an investigation in the case is pending, the investigating officer said the shooting incident was a result of rivalry between student groups regarding university elections and according to an eyewitness, Sabir was involved in it.;
New Delhi: A Delhi court granted bail to a 27-year-old Jamia Millia Islamia student who was allegedly involved in an incident of firing at Holy Family Hospital in which another student was shot at and injured in September.
The court was hearing the bail plea of Sabir, against whom an FIR was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act at New Friends Colony police station.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about this incident, in which a Jamia Millia Islamia student had been shot at and injured by another student and later admitted to AIIMS Hospital. A day after a shooting incident had been reported inside the Holy Family Hospital in southeast Delhi's Jamia Nagar area, Delhi police detained six accused persons.
