We took healthy ligaments from other places and gave support to the damaged ones," the surgeon said.

No medical journal has published a single article about this kind of method. This is one of its kind. We have to do more research on this method of repair and research, then give an article to the medical journals", Dr Abhilash added.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that doctors at the Lucknow-based Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) had achieved a new milestone by performing a life-saving rigid bronchoscopic removal of a bullet from the airway wall of a 20-year-old man. According to doctors, a 20-year-old man with an alleged gunshot injury was brought and admitted to the SGPGIMS in critical condition.

The bullet had entered from the lower back and entered the chest and was lodged within the airway wall. Because of this, air leaked out into the surrounding area leading to difficulty in breathing.
