Jaipur: 7 sub-district hospitals to be upgraded to district hospitals soon

Jaipur: In a move to provide better healthcare services to the people of the city, around 7 sub-district hospitals would be upgraded into district hospitals soon.

The up-gradation of the seven sub-district hospitals will benefit the patients in ways that they would get more improved and better treatments at the district hospital. The increase in patients at the sub-district hospitals has resulted in the up-gradation of the hospitals.  

In order to run the upgraded hospital smoothly, the government has announced that staff requirements for the hospital will begin soon and the order has been initiated.

TOI reports that while presenting his budget speech earlier Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced that The 7 district hospitals will be established in Lalsot of Dausa district, Behror of Alwar, Nathdwara of Rajsamand, Didwana of Nagaur, Ratangarh of Churu, Navalgarh of Jhunjhunu and Nimbahera of Chittorgarh where the sub-district hospitals are currently in force.

The Health and Family Welfare Department issued an order regarding the upgradation of the hospitals on Tuesday. Action will take place soon.

Meanwhile, the upgraded district hospital in Lalsot, Ratangarh and Nimbahera will have 50-bed as well as the district hospital in Behror will have 25-bedded facilities.

According to Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena, a plan for increasing the number of beds has been approved in order to implement the budget announcement.

Seven district hospitals have recently been handed over by the health department to the medical education department in seven districts. These hospitals have been affiliated with new medical colleges in Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Barmer, Churu, Dungarpur, Pali, and Sikar.

Medical Dialogues Team had reported earlier that the state government has announced the upgradation of the hospital with additional 100 beds. According to state government officials, a proposal regarding the upgradation has been sent to the Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary by the hospital administration.
