Madhya Pradesh: Govt. to upgrade Singrauli district hospital to 300 beds
Bhopal: In response to the increase in the footfall of the patients visiting the 200-bedded Singrauli district hospital, the state government has announced the upgradation of the hospital with additional 100 beds.
According to state government officials, a proposal regarding the upgradation has been sent to the Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary by the hospital administration.
The meeting took place via video call with Minister Dr. Chaudhary with Civil Surgeon. Minister Dr Chaudhary asked the Surgeon over the phone about the condition of the hospital and took note of the stock of the medical facilities available at the hospital.

Free Press Journal reports that Minister Dr. Chaudhary instructed the Civil Surgeon to submit the proposal for an additional 100-bed capacity as a large increase in the number of patients at the hospital had left management difficult to handle the situation.
Later, Minister Dr. Chaudhary also spoke with patients through video calls like he does every week and asked them about the quality of treatment provided by the hospital. He also asked the patients about their current health conditions of them. He then asked the hospital's officials about its management and facilities.

In a Hospital Development Committee meeting at King George Hospital (KGH), District Collector A Mallikarjuna visited the hospital. While he was at the meeting, he directed the hospital officials to ask for the necessary equipment needed for the hospital to serve the people well.
