Madhya Pradesh: Agar Malwa Hospital rewards people for bringing TB patients
According to Agar-Malwa district program officer Rajesh Gupta, the reward scheme is part of their mega campaign aimed at eradicating TB by 2025. Gupta said that they are running this mega campaign between October 24 and December 31 to eradicate TB.;

Agar: A unique incident has been reported from the district hospital in the Agar Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh where they came up with a poster, like a Diwali offer, promising rewards from Rs 500 to Rs 50,000 to any person who brings a person affected with Tuberculosis (TB) to the hospital under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Programme.
The action has been taken as part of the Diwali bumper reward scheme of the health department of Agar Malwa district to spread awareness about TB in the region, in order to urge people to not hide the ailment and seek treatment from the hospital.
