Madhya Pradesh: Agar Malwa Hospital rewards people for bringing TB patients

In addition to money, the poster also promises home appliances as rewards based on the number of TB patients who are brought to the hospital. As per the scheme, any person who brings a TB patient to the hospital would be awarded money from five hundred to 50 thousand rupees. 

A poster advertising the same which could be found outside the hospital has gone viral on social media. According to it, a person who brings one patient would receive Rs 500 or tiffin, a person bringing five new patients would get Rs 2500 or mixer, a person bringing ten patients would get Rs 5000 or mobile, those bringing 15 patients would get a silver coin of Rs 7500 or 10 grams, those bringing 40 patients would receive a four-gram gold coin, and so it goes on. 

The condition for the reward is that the TB patients brought to the hospital must be new and should not have undergone treatment or examination from somewhere else before, reports the Free Press Journal. 

According to Agar-Malwa district program officer Rajesh Gupta, the reward scheme is part of their mega campaign aimed at eradicating TB by 2025. Gupta said that they are running this mega campaign between October 24 and December 31 to eradicate TB.
