Odisha: Advanced Urocare Private Limited launches new super-speciality hospital

Bhubaneswar: Advanced Urocare Private Limited inaugurated a new super-speciality hospital, URO Nephro Center of Excellence at Shree Vihar, Patia on Tuesday, June 20.  

The former chief secretary and OERC chairman Suresh Chandra Mahapatra inaugurated the new facility. It is a standalone super-speciality centre for Urology and Nephrology, with senior physician Dr Purna Chandra Rath and senior consultant (Urologist) Dr Debadarshi Rath being the proprietors of the unit.

Dr Debadarshi who has a medical experience of ten years, said that the facility was launched for patients suffering from UTI, prostate, stone, cancer, and kidney failure. According to a media report in the New Indian Express, he said that all modern equipment like endoscopy, laparoscopy, laser and robotics would be made available. 

He has worked with other organizations like SUM, CARE, AMRI, Utkal, Kalinga Hospital, Sparsh and Kar Clinic. He said that the aim of this new facility is to provide tertiary healthcare facilities to all sections of society at affordable rates with the best treatment covering all kinds of health insurance including BSKY. 

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about the appointment of 1205 MBBS doctors as medical officers in the state. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the medical officers on their appointment. He said that this is a huge addition to the current strength of doctors which would ultimately strengthen the healthcare sector and improve patient satisfaction. The appointment took place at a government event held at Kalinga Stadium on June 6. "Everyone is aware of the train tragedy in Balasore that shook the nation, even the world. It’s a time of immense grief and sorrow. But, this accident has proved the strength of Odisha, its ability to rise up to the expectation during the time of crisis", stated the press release from the Chief Minister's Office.
