Lucknow: The Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) in Lucknow has appointed 166 new doctors, marking the largest recruitment on regular posts in the past decade.

These newly appointed doctors will be placed across various departments, helping to bridge the gap in clinical manpower that has persisted for years.
Among the newly appointed faculty members, there are 6 professors, 31 associate professors, and 129 assistant specialist doctors, reports Bhaskar.
The institute is renowned for its comprehensive cancer care, equipped with advanced facilities and expertise in surgical, radiation, medical, and laboratory oncology, as well as nuclear medicine.
Speciality clinics focusing on refractory epilepsy, uro-oncology, dialysis, lithotripsy, and cathlab procedures are fully functional, supported by a well-developed intensive care unit and state-of-the-art diagnostic services.

Medical Dialogues had previously reported that Dr Vikram Singh, currently serving as the Head of the Medicine Department at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), has been appointed the new Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of the institute. Dr Singh assumes the leadership of one of Uttar Pradesh’s most prestigious super-speciality medical institutes at a time of significant transformation and infrastructure expansion.
Established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, RMLIMS functions as an autonomous super-speciality medical teaching hospital. It plays a pivotal role as a referral centre for patients from Lucknow and adjacent districts, particularly from the eastern regions of the state.
