Dr Singh assumes the leadership of one of Uttar Pradesh’s most prestigious super-speciality medical institutes at a time of significant transformation and infrastructure expansion.
Established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, RMLIMS functions as an autonomous super-speciality medical teaching hospital. It plays a pivotal role as a referral centre for patients from Lucknow and adjacent districts, particularly from the eastern regions of the state. The hospital extends medical care across socio-economic strata, with a focus on serving underprivileged and resource-constrained communities.
The hospital is especially renowned for its comprehensive cancer care, including surgical, medical, radiation, and laboratory oncology, as well as nuclear medicine services. Other well-developed specialities include cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology, neurology, neurosurgery, and pain medicine. Functional speciality clinics include refractory epilepsy, uro-oncology, dialysis, lithotripsy, and cath lab services, supported by a robust Intensive Care Unit (ICU) infrastructure.
