Kushinagar: A ruckus erupted at a private clinic in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar, where several men reportedly attacked one another and vandalised the property. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

In the video, a group of men can be seen trying to defend themselves as around four individuals storm into the clinic and begin allegedly slapping and beating them. They are also seen throwing objects from a table at one of the people.

In retaliation, the man being attacked grabbed a nearby umbrella and attempted to chase the attackers out of the clinic, even as they continued to beat him. Other men present outside the clinic also joined in and helped drive the attackers away, as captured in the video.

The video was shared by an individual on the popular social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter).

Meanwhile, Medical Dialogues had reported several instances of violence against doctors in the past. Recently, at KSB Olympia Dream Children Hospital in Surat’s Pandesara area, an on-duty doctor was allegedly verbally abused and slapped 12 times in a row by an enraged attendant during a referral dispute involving a critically ill child.

Since the hospital lacked ICU facilities, the doctor had advised the child’s family to shift him to another hospital. Although the family initially agreed and left, one of the four attendants, who was reportedly intoxicated, returned 20 minutes later and stormed into the doctor’s chamber, where he allegedly verbally and physically assaulted the doctor in anger.

Earlier, three on-duty doctors were also allegedly attacked by an intoxicated mob in the emergency department of Chittoor Government District Headquarters Hospital around midnight on Friday.
