A major point discussed during the meeting was the centralized monitoring of health facilities from a control center set up by the Ministry. The control centre is designed to ensure a coordinated response across the country, allowing for the seamless sharing of critical information.

This action comes just days after the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in 26 fatalities. In response, the Indian government has initiated nationwide mock drills to prepare citizens and institutions for potential emergencies and war-like situations. These extensive drills are being carried out across the country as part of a larger initiative to enhance national preparedness, following the completion of Operation Sindoor—a military operation launched in retaliation to the attack.
