ICMR appoints BP Acharya as National Animal Resource Facility for BioMedical Research Advisor
Hyderabad: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has recently appointed the former Special Chief Secretary BP Acharya as the Advisor of National Animal Resource Facility for BioMedical Research (NARFBR).
NARFBR is coming up in over 100 acres at Genome Valley near Shamirpet on the outskirts of the city, reports UNI.
The National Animal Resource Facility for Biomedical Research (ICMR-NARFBR) is an Indian Biomedical Research Institute under the aegis of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Department of Health Research Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The Institute is proposed to have State of the art animal facilities to be established at Genome Valley in Hyderabad as per National and International norms. This will be a unique facilitation Institute for Laboratory Animals resources and its research pertaining to testing and Authorization on behalf of the Government of India.
