International Yoga Day: UP to hold mass yoga practice at 75000 places

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officials to make arrangements for International Yoga Day on June 21 next, officials informed on Thursday.
In his meeting with the officials here on Thursday, CM said Yoga is a priceless gift bestowed by Indian sages to the world, which keeps both body and mind healthy. The theme of the 8th International Day of Yoga this year is 'Yoga for Humanity'.
He said this year's Yoga Day being organized in the 75th year of independence, 'mass yoga practice should be organized at 75,000 places'. "Make sure that people from all 58,000 gram panchayats, 14,000 urban wards join the program. In this way, a massive program should be organized aiming to connect 3.50 crore people with yoga. Live telecast facility should also be made available. Involve local public representatives and yoga instructors in all programmes", he said.
