Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported an incident of fraud from Jammu and Kashmir where a 49-year-old doctor registered on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) portal had been found to be using a forged MBBS degree certificate and the degree of 11 other doctors was also under scanner. The man pretending to be a doctor had uploaded his documents on the portal hoping to get verified on the ABDM portal, but the scheme backfired when the state medical council caught his trick red-handed. While verifying the certificates, the state medical council found that a 49-year-old doctor from Bandipora district who claimed to have an MBBS certificate from the University of Kashmir in March 2007 was a fake one.
