New Delhi: A total of 700 seats in 14 DNB Post Diploma specialities are available for the third round of counselling session to be conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

The above aggregate comes from a recent indicative seat matrix published by the Natboard on its official website.

As per the seat matrix, the maximum seats of 239 are available in the speciality of Anaesthesiology followed by Paediatrics with 89 and Radio Diagnosis with 79 seats.

Candidates vying for admissions into the specialities of Orthopaedics have 70 seats, Ophthalmology 55, Obstetrics and Gynaecology 39, Radiation Oncology 50, Respiratory Medicine 33, Pathology 19 and ENT 9 seats to compete for in Round 3.

The DNB Post Diploma specialities of Nuclear Medicine has 7, Dermatology Venereology and Leprosy has 3 and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Psychiatry each, have 4 seats.

DNB PDCET is the abbreviation for the Diplomate of National Board Post Diploma Centralized Entrance Test. DNB PDCET is a ranking examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for admission to various post diploma DNB courses. Candidates who register for the DNB programme after clearing DNB PDCET, are required to complete 2 years of practical training under any NBE accredited institution/hospital/medical college. After completion of the practical training, he/she has to appear for the DNB final examination and clear it, only then he/she will be awarded a DNB degree.

Round 3 of DNB PDCET Counselling 2021 will be held from1st March to 11th March 2022. The detailed schedule for all three rounds of DNB Counselling is provided below:

In case any seats remain vacant after the Round 3 of DNG PGCET Counselling 2022, the NBEMS might hold a mop-up round. However, the decision to conduct any further round is purely discretionary and the decision of the NBEMS.
