Breaking: NEET SS percentile lowered, mop up round starts 1st feb, details

New Delhi: The cutoff percentile for NEET SS 2020 for admissions to DM, MCh and DNB SS courses has been lowered for this academic session.

NEET-SS 2020 was conducted on 15th September 2020 for admission to super specialty courses and the result cum merit list of NEET-SS 2020 was declared on 25th September 2020.

Recently, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has lowered the minimum qualifying percentile in NEET-SS 2020 to 45th percentile, informs the National Board of Examinations (NBE) via a recent notice.

Issuing further notification informing about the effect, the MCC has stated that in compliance with the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the qualifying percentile to be eligible to participate in Super Speciality Counselling for D.M/ M.Ch/ DNB SS courses has been reduced by 05(five) percentile points i.e 45th percentile in place of 50th percentile.

Accordingly, the cut-off scores in NEET-SS 2020 have been lowered as tabulated below:

The last date for admission to Super speciality courses has been extended till 08.02.2021. Hence, the competent authority has decided to conduct a Mop-Up Round of Super Speciality counselling. In view of the above the candidates may note the important points and eligibility conditions for Mop Up Round as under:

1. Only those candidates who have 'NOT' been Allotted/ Joined any seat in Round 1 or Round 2 are eligible to participate.

2. Candidates who are made eligible for the first time due to reduction of percentile can make Fresh Registration and pay the requisite fee to participate in Mop Up Round of Super Speciality counselling.

3. There will not be any Upgradation facility for already joined candidates.

4. All admissions have to close by 08.02.2021.

>For the schedule of Mop Up Round of Super Speciality counselling,

• The revised scorecard of all the candidates who appeared in NEET-SS 2020 can be downloaded from the NEET-SS website https://nbe.edu.in on/after 5th February 2021. The revised scorecard will not be sent individually to the candidates.

• Kindly note that there is no change in NEET-SS 2020 rank published earlier.
