As per the NBE stipend guidelines dated 02-04-2019 applicable to all NBE accredited hospitals /institutions /medical colleges, the NBE accredited hospital shall have to pay the DNB/FNB trainee a basic stipend as prescribed by NBE or basic stipend according to the state government policy (whichever is higher).
Now in the month of December 2019, the state of Assam revised the stipend to be paid to the resident doctors working at its government medical colleges and hospitals. The notification to this effect specified the stipend as the following

2 | Rs. 49,500 | Rs. 55,500 |

Following the above revision, NBE has now also directed its institutions to pay the corresponding stipend to its DNB candidates effective December 2019
