Fact Check: NBE cautions against social media groups claiming to provide questions for FMGE December 2022
New Delhi: While the aspirants are preparing to appear for the upcoming screening test, Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), some unscrupulous elements are trying to dupe them in the name of providing exam questions. Concerned with the same hindering the interest of the FMGE candidates, the NBE has recently issued an alert alarming all the students, and authorities against social media groups befooling aspirants for FMGE December 2022, scheduled to be held on 20th January 2023.
In this backdrop, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has registered a police complaint against such miscreants and has cautioned the FMGE candidates to beware of any such information on social media.
The Natboard, in its notice issued to this effect, stated that a routine surf was conducted by NBEMS officials and it came to light that certain persons are fraudulently trying to deceive FMGE candidates through social media platforms.
"The aforesaid cozeners on such social media platforms are claiming to provide FMGE questions for the upcoming FMG Examination December 2022 in exchange for a considerable amount of money," it said.
Taking action on the matter, NBEMS has registered a police complaint against such fraudsters and their accomplices "for misuse of NBEMS logo and for their attempt to befool FMGE aspirants in the name of providing questions of FMGE December 2022 for a considerable sum of money."
Hence, the NBE has issued a caution for the concerned candidates and it states:
By the present notice, applicants for FMGE December 2022 are hereby cautioned not to be allured or misled by such unscrupulous elements who are befooling FMGE aspirants by claiming to have questions of upcoming FMGE December 2022 accessed through "the authority".
It is further advised that direct or indirect indulgence of any FMGE aspirant in any of such activities shall be appropriately dealt with by NBEMS.

The NBE had earlier postponed the conduct of the FMGE December 2022 examination. ""Pursuant to the announcement of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections by the Delhi State Election Commission to be held on 4th December 2022, it has been decided to re-schedule the conduct of FMGE December 2022 now on 20th January 2023," the NBE stated while rescheduling the exam.
According to the postponed schedule, the Deficiency related to documents uploaded (Proof of possessing Primary Medical Qualification, attestation of Primary Medical Qualification certificate by the Indian Embassy concerned/apostille, Eligibility Certificate/Admission Letter, Identity Proof of Citizenship etc) can be rectified by 15th December 2022.
NBEMS shall publish a list of candidates on its website who would fail to rectify the deficiencies in their documents even by 15th December 2022 and shall now open an online window from 24th December to 30th December 2022 giving a FINAL opportunity to submit documents which are deficient in application. No further opportunity will be given.
The deficient documents can only be submitted through an Online Deficient Document Submission Portal which can be accessed through following weblink: http://exam.natboard.edu.in/fmge.php Candidates who fail to rectify the deficiencies in their applications by the last date prescribed (i.e. 30th December 2022) for rectificationshall be declared ineligible.
Candidates will be able to access the Demo test tentatively from 10th January 2023 onwards. The admit cards for FMGE December 2022 shall now be issued on 13th January 2023. The result for FMGE December 2022 shall now be declared by 10th February 2023.
