NBE defers DNB, DrNB Practical Exam for certain specialities, Details
New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has informed about the postponement of the DNB/DrNB Practical Examination, June 2021 session for certain specialities.
Last year in December, the Natboard had announced the schedule of the DNB/DrNB Practical Exam, June 2021 session for specialities having OSCE component. However, due to the current Covid-19 situation in the country, DNB/DrNB Practical Examinations having OSCE component in the following specialities which were scheduled in January 2022 have been deferred till further notice:

The rest of the DNB/DrNB examinations shall be conducted as per schedule unless notified otherwise by NBEMS, the NBE notification stated.
The schedule of DNB/DrNB Practical Exams for 17 specialities which shall be conducted having OSCE format is as follows:
The revised scheme of examination for DNB/DrNB Final Practical Examination, June 2021 session having OSCE component is as follows:-

Virtual OSCE | 20 OSCE stations of 5 marks each of 4 min duration each | 100 |
Clinical case examination | 2 clinical case examinations of 50 marks each | 100 |
Ward rounds | 4 Ward rounds of 10 marks each, as relevant for the specialty | 40 |
Viva voce | 4 viva voce stations of 15 marks each per viva station | 60 |
Total | 300 |
DNB/DrNB practical examinations in the remaining specialties will be conducted in the Conventional mode, schedule for which will be informed to the concerned candidates through their OEEP account.
