NBE extends deadline for submitting proof of MD, MS, DM, MCh final exams qualification

New Delhi: Through a recent notification, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has informed about the extension of the last date for submission of proof of passing Final Examinations of MD/MS or DM/MCh qualification.

All the concerned MD/MS or DM/MCh candidates who have been allowed to appear provisionally in the DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination – June 2021 are hereby advised to take note of the following details as released by the Natboard.

In terms of the Information Bulletin for DNB/DrNB Final Examination - June 2021, submission of the proof of qualifying for the final examination for MD/MS or DM/MCh degree on or before 31st August 2021 is an essential prerequisite toward eligibility for DNB/DrNB Final Examination- June 2021.

 The results of the final examinations for MD/MS or DM/MCh courses are delayed in a number of Universities due largely to COVID-19 pandemic related reasons.

Therefore, it has been decided to extend the cut-off date to qualify the final examination for MD/MS or DM/MCh degree to 30th September 2021, for the purpose of eligibility for DNB/DrNB Final Examination June 2021, stated the NBE notice.

Accordingly, MD/MS or DM/MCh candidates who have been allowed to appear provisionally in the DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination – June 2021 are required to submit one of the following documents towards proof of qualifying their Final Examinations latest by 30.09.2021:

a. Degree Certificate of MD/MS or DM/MCh qualification

b. Provisional Pass Certificate of MD/MS or DM/MCh qualification

c. If PPC/Degree Certificate of MD/MS or DM/MCh qualification has not been issued, copy of result notification duly certified by the Dean/Registrar/ Principal of the university/medical college as a proof of qualifying the final examination on or before 30th September 2021. The Provisional Pass Certificate/Degree Certificate of MD/MS or DM/MCh qualification to be submitted in due course.

The deficient documents can be submitted through Online Exit Examination Portal (OEEP) only, added NBE.
