NBE releases exam date for DNB PDCET 2021

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examination (NBE) has informed about the examination date for DNB PDCET 2021. DNB PDCET is an entrance examination and is an essential pre-requisite for entry to post-diploma DNB 2 years post-graduate courses.

All applicants for DNB PDCET 2021 are hereby informed that the DNB-PDCET 2021 shall be conducted on 9th May 2021 on a computer-based platform at various centres across the country.

The DNB-PDCET 2021 question paper for each specialty shall comprise of MCQs at Post Diploma exit level from the concerned specialty only, covering the entire curriculum relevant to the Diploma specialty.

NBE reserves its right to amend/defer the date of examination due to any unforeseen exigency.

Last year in September, the NBE had released the provisional schedule for the forthcoming Computer-Based Tests including DNB PDCET 2021

As per the provisional schedule, the date of DNB PDCET 2021 was set at 28th January 2021. However, with the pandemic and delay in academic session all over the country, the exam date has now been stretched.

NBE at present conducts postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in approved specialities leading to the award of Diplomate of National Board. The Medical Council of India has laid down standards for postgraduate examinations conducted by various medical colleges and affiliated to concerned universities and other institutions, yet the levels of proficiency and standards of evaluation vary considerably in these institutions

Candidates declared qualified in the PDCET Examination will be asked to participate in the centralized counselling in order of their Specialty specific merit and will be able to opt for NBE accredited institution/hospital/medical college of their choice as per seat availability at their merit
