NEET PG 2022: NBE notifies on extension to Cutoff date for MBBS Internship
New Delhi: Through a recent notification, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has informed about the extension to the cutoff date of MBBS internship completion for NEET PG 2022 candidates seeking PG medical admissions in the next academic year 2022-2023.
This notice comes a week after Supreme Court on February 8 asked the MBBS passouts seeking extending one-year internship deadline beyond May 31, criteria for aspirants for NEET PG 2022, to make a representation to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Earlier this deadline was for May 31, 2022.
NEET PG 2022 internship cut off date has now been made to July 31, 2022. This means that aspirants who can complete their internships till the mentioned date are now eligible to apply for the PG medical entrance exam.
"In continuation of the NBEMS notice dated 04.02.2022 and pursuant to the directions of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India vide its letter no. F. No. U11011/06/2021-MEC dated 15.02.2022, the cut-off date for completion of internship for the purpose of eligibility for NEET-PG 2022 has been extended to 31.07.2022," read the NBE notification. The cut-off for completion of internship as mentioned in the clause 4.1, 4.3, 4.10 and 13.2 of the information bulletin for NEET-PG 2022 should therefore be read accordingly, the notice added.
