Pay annual course fee directly to NBE: Natboard tells DNB, DrNB, FNB, FNB FPIS trainees

New Delhi: Through a recent notification, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has informed regarding the payment of the annual course fees by Post MBBS (including Direct 6 years), Post Diploma, Super Speciality and Fellowship trainees (DNB, DrNB, FNB and FNB FPIS) directly to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

The trainees undergoing training for various DNB/DrNB/FNB/FNBFPIS (including Direct 6 Years Courses) shall be required to pay the annual course fee, for each year, directly to NBE.

NBE trainees of the following admission sessions are required to deposit the annual course fee for Academic Year 2021:

Course

2019 (3rd Year) and onwards

Post Diploma

2020 (2nd Year) and onwards

Super Specialty

2019 (3rd Year) and onwards

Fellowship

2019 (2nd Year) and onwards

All the concerned trainees are hereby informed that the entire annual course fee is to be paid by the trainee as one single transaction. Further, it is to be noted that the payment of GST, presently @ 18%, is mandatory as per Government directives. The annual course fee shall be paid by the NBEMS trainees through online mode only by using web portal.

The annual course fee payable by an NBEMS trainee is as follows:

*Payment gateway charges shall be borne by the NBEMS trainee
The trainees and the concerned stakeholders are also notified that the prescribed course fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking as made available and have been provided on the web page.
The annual course fee for the succeeding academic year of the trainee should be paid by the trainee before the completion of the ongoing academic year, the Natboard has emphasised.
For example
If a candidate joined in the month of September 2020 (1st Year), then he/she will pay the annual course fee of 2nd Year- (2021) by August 2021.
The NBE has further warned that failure to pay the annual course fee to the NBEMS shall lead to "deregistration and the candidature of the NBEMS trainee shall be CANCELLED."
