Lucknow: The candidates who are vying for admission to DNB courses in UP based NBE accredited hospitals under state quota now have 50 per cent fewer seats to complete for as the Department of Medical Education and Training of the UP has decided to reserve this certain percentage for its in-service doctors.

The information to this effect comes via a recent social media post wherein the attached letter of the UP medical education department clearly mentioning that the authorities have decided to allot 50 per cent DNB seats under the state quota in District Hospitals at its won level by reserving them for its in-service medicos.

The Department of Medical Education and Training, Govt of Uttar Pradesh has agreed to allot 50 per cent DNB seats in District Hospitals in Uttar Pradesh at its own level. These seats have to be allotted only to in-service candidates

On the part of the eligibility criteria only for these in-service candidates, the notice mentions:

For Post MBBS DNB seats: Candidates should have qualified NEET PG 2020
For Post Diploma DNB seats: Candidates should have qualified DNB PDCET 2020

The list of in-service candidates who have been allocated the state quota DNB seats by the concerned counselling authority of the state has to be submitted to the NBE in the format (attached below), the notice added.

 The National Board of Examinations (NBE) does not own or control any of its accredited hospitals. NBE neither employs a candidate nor makes any payment /stipend to the candidate. Reservation status of DNB seats at a particular institution/medical college is provided by the respective institution only based on the roster maintained by the concerned institution. NBE does not own, possess or fund any seat. Reserved seats will be allotted to the concerned category candidates only. Candidates of the reserved category can opt for either reserved seats earmarked for them or unreserved seats in order of their merit.
