Rajnath Singh enhances financial powers delegated to Armed Forces Medical Services
The enhanced delegation of financial powers is to empower Competent Financial Authorities (CFA) at Hospitals and below for procurement in Medical stores in an efficient manner for urgent operational necessities and meeting essential medical requirements.;
New Delhi: Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has approved the order on Medical Schedules of Powers 2022 (MSP-2022), enhancing the financial powers delegated to Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). MSP - 2022 has been notified by the Ministry of Defence on 1st Aug 2022.
The enhanced delegation of Financial Powers to functionaries in Headquarters and lower formations would lead to quicker decision-making at all levels resulting in better planning and operational preparedness of the AFMS. It would also endure the optimal utilisation of resources.

The primary objective of the enhanced delegation of financial powers is to empower Competent Financial Authorities (CFA) at Hospitals and below for procurement in Medical stores in an efficient manner for urgent operational necessities and meeting essential medical requirements.
