After taking suo moto cognisance of the incident, the commission asked the DPH to submit a report within six weeks, reports the Hindu.

The patient went to the PHC with her husband on the morning of the day she was expected to deliver in this regard, where the nurses asked her to come after developing labour pain. However, Dr. R Balu, who was supposed to perform her delivery, was not present in the hospital.
