UP Govt to set up pharmacies at six medical colleges under PPP mode
Lucknow: Six state medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh will soon be equipped with their pharmacies as the state government has floated tenders for setting up the pharmacies under public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
The announcement was made by the Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak, who issued a press statement stating that the government has invited tenders for setting up the pharmacies.

The medical colleges in Jhansi, Agra, Kanpur, Meerut, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur are set to come up with pharmacies, with the tender process to be completed in two weeks.
Dr Abhishek Shukla, secretary general of the Association of International Doctors told the Hindustan Times, "In-house pharmacies provides medicines and surgical items to patients at subsidised rates."
Further, Pathak added that the state has 35 government and 30 private medical colleges and they are taking efforts to start a medical college in every district.
