Alkem Labs Sets Up UAE Arm with AED 3.67 Million Investment to Boost Global Expansion
New Delhi: Alkem Laboratories Limited has announced the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) in the United Arab Emirates as part of its strategic global expansion.
The newly established entity, named Alkem Pharmaceuticals Scientific Office FZ LLC, has been set up in Dubai Healthcare City.
The company stated that the subsidiary has been formed in compliance with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, aiming to strengthen its international footprint, particularly in the Middle East pharmaceutical market.
As per disclosed details, the subsidiary has an authorized and subscribed share capital of AED 3,670,000, divided into 3,670 equity shares of AED 1,000 each. The entire shareholding—100%—is held by Alkem Laboratories, making it a fully owned entity.
The company clarified that the subsidiary will focus on manufacturing activities and obtaining product registrations, while it will not engage in trading operations. This aligns with Alkem’s core pharmaceutical business and supports its regulatory and production capabilities in international markets.
The incorporation was completed on February 4, 2026, and does not currently require additional regulatory approvals. However, certain approvals from the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention are reportedly delayed due to ongoing regional conditions.
The investment in the subsidiary has been made through cash consideration amounting to AED 3.67 million. As the entity is newly incorporated, there is no historical turnover available.
