Hyderabad: Startoon Labs Private Limited, a Hyderabad-based medical device R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing Company has announced it has received US FDA (The US Food and Drug Administration) (510 K Exempt) clearance for its revolutionary physiotherapy monitoring device ‘ Pheezee’, the first of kind in the world.
Pheezee is certified for electrical and environmental safety as per international standards and is a registered medical device with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) and the device is a game-changer in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, Startoon Labs, one of the most vibrant startups among 4,000 startups in Telangana, said in a release here.
Pheezee is a patented technology, capable of measuring the surface Electromyogram (sEMG) of bulk muscles and Range of motion (ROM) of primary joints simultaneously, to determine joint health, making it a one-of-a-kind product in the world with this capability, said Suresh Susurla, Founder & CEO, Startoon Labs.
The device is helpful in assessing joint health during physiotherapy post musculoskeletal, neurological, spinal cord injuries and neuro-ailments such as paralysis, hemiplegia, paraplegia, muscular dystrophy, he claimed.
